Interest Areas: His areas of interest are Gender Studies and Industrial Social Work.
Selected Academic Activities: Dr. D.P. Singh has a teaching experience of about 25 years; he has published more than 60 research papers and articles in various journals and magazines of repute. He has carried out six evaluative studies of the Government of Punjab and University Grants Commission. He has presented papers in more than sixty seminars and conferences in India and abroad apart from organizing six International and five National Conferences and Seminars. He was associated with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria-Round-7 during 2009-15 and organized more a score of training programmes.
He is the author/editor of eight books namely Indian Social Work (2020) Workers in Informal Economy (2015) , Community Participation in School Education (2013), Violence: Impact and Intervention (2008), Violence: A Concern for Peaceful Co-existence (2008), Female Feticide in Punjab: Causes and Consequences, (2007), Women Workers in the Unorganized Sector (2005), Women and Empowerment: Experiences from Some Asian Countries (2005).
