Interdisciplinary Developments for Education and Society


IDEAS aims at Interdisciplinary developments of education in society through scholarly endeavors at community, national and intergovernmental levels. It strives to act as a scholastic platform for all possible academic activities such as conferences, seminars, trainings and workshops. It envisions to set up institutions for imparting professional and vocational education to the people apart from making efforts to raise the living standards of vulnerable groups. In the long run, the IDEAS envisages to help the needy and the destitute along providing guidance to the unemployed youth for gainful employment and better livelihood by engaging in   activities for improvement in the areas of education, health, research and culture. It also have plans to conduct joint scientific studies, researches and innovation works in areas of social welfare, education and health etc. as these goals cannot be achieved without communication networks for exchange of knowledge among academicians, IDEAS also envision to establish information networks and maintain good links with national and international organization dealing with welfare, education, arts, culture and such other activities.  As on today , the IDEAS is only in its nascent stage but as its marches ahead, it will strive to publish evidence based literature in terms of Research Journals and books. It also plans to make a task force of academicians, researchers , scholars and social activists who would collaborate with the Association towards achieving its vision and mission. 

The office of IDEAS is located in the office of the Punjbipedia Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala (Punjab), India.

The mission of the Association is to be a platform for promoting interdisciplinary education at national and intergovernmental levels besides being a store house of knowledge exchange. 

IDEAS was founded in 2019 before the First International Online Seminar, held at Department of Social Work, Punjabi University, Patiala (Punjab) India.
